Driving Directions to the Stumberg Patio Ranch                                                  (PRINTABLE VERSION)

From Austin

From Austin, take US Highway 290 West to Fredericksburg.

In Fredericksburg, turn left on State Highway 16 South to Kerrville (approximately 24 miles).

In downtown Kerrville, turn right on State Highway 27 West to Ingram (approximately 6 miles).

From San Antonio

Traveling from San Antonio, take IH 10 West.

Take the second Kerrville exit (Harper Road) and turn south.

Go to Highway 27 (Second traffic light and approximately 2 miles) and turn right toward Ingram (approximately 4 miles).

At the Y-intersection in Ingram, go straight (the road becomes Highway 39) to Hunt (approximately 6 miles).

At the Y-intersection in Hunt, take the right fork that is FM 1340.

Go over 5 low water crossings. 

Immediately past the 5th (Friedrich Crossing-approximately 5.9 miles from the Y-intersection in Hunt) on the right side of the road is the entrance to the Patio Ranch.  It is a wrought iron gate with “Stumberg Patio Ranch” in large black metal letters on the gate.  The gate is bounded by three large stone pillars about 10’ tall.

Follow the signs at the paved road intersections (3) to arrive at the ranch high gate (approximately 2 miles from the highway).  DO NOT GET OFF OF PAVED ROAD.

After entering the ranch high gate, take the first paved road intersection to the right (at the “WHOA” sign) to arrive at the lodge and headquarters (1/2 mile inside the high gate).
