Blackbuck
Blackbuck (Antilope cervicapra) -Originally from the India-Pakistan area, this clean-cut and small bodied animal is named for the black coat seen on dominant males. Young males and females are tan, with all animals displaying white eye-rings, inner legs, chest, chin and stomach. Females do not show any horns while the males will grow corkscrew shaped horns that V out from the top of the head. Measured in a straight line, it is common to see 21” blackbuck males.
